Commercial software for HR, payroll, and benefits management

 

Provider of a top tier commercial payroll application that competed with Paychex and ADP.  The solution technologies offered onsite client, secure cloud, service oriented architecture, business intelligence, and high availability. The software fully supported regulatory and security compliance for both state and federal.  Our groups released 1-2 major enhancement releases per year and 6 regulatory releases.  I was there during the company’s development methodology changing from waterfall to agile.

• Developed a code generator solution database driven to include, system delivered data, release

  configuration data, and asset management data

• Managed 3 development teams (DBA, Install / Deployment, and QA Infrastructure teams)

• Our team provided a flexible and secure infrastructure for a development staff of over 200 people in

  addition to over 200 development and QA server resources

• Our development infrastructure supported the complexities of parallel release path development and the

  challenges of linear progression between them

• Coordinated, executed, and managed well over 100 internal full application build and deploys yearly

• Responsible for data model, database stored procedures, system delivered data, and development

  infrastructure resources

• Install and Deployment team responsible for application deployment system (i.e. new installs and upgrades)

  and Release Configuration

• QA Tech team responsible for managing the QA infrastructure system as well as build validation and

  internal deployment

• Lead for special projects involving analysts, other developers, customer support, hosted services, QA,

  documentation, educational services, and IT

  • Knowledge management initiatives

  • Designed and developed ETL process for customer migration from a 3rd party application acquisition
